Bucket Test Method

1. Make the level of the swimming pool flat. Fill a 5-gallon bucket withwater up to 5 inches from the top.

2. Place bucket in the second step of your swimming pool immersed 5 inches into the pool.

3. Place a mark of the pool water level inside the bucket.

4. Stop the pump and mark the level of water on the exterior of the bucket.

5. Then resume the regular pump operation.

6. After one day, compare the water levels. If it happens that the pool water on the exterior of the bucket goes way down the 5 gallon bucket, there is probably a leak. However, if they are similar, only evaporation might have occurred.
